If your message is about a data issue, please include enough detail to reproduce the problem:
- The country or country group involved.
- The metric name, value, source, and reference year shown on the site.
- The source link or document you believe should be used instead.
- A short explanation of whether the issue is a missing value, outdated value, attribution problem, or display bug.
For privacy requests, include the page or interaction you are asking about. For attribution or licensing questions, include the relevant source name and metric so the request can be reviewed against the right dataset.
Corrections policy
Correction requests are checked against the cited primary source and the version of the metric currently published. A disagreement caused by different reference years or definitions may require a clarification rather than a numeric replacement.
- The reported page, metric and country are reproduced in the public snapshot.
- The displayed value, unit, year and source attribution are compared with the supporting source.
- If an error is confirmed, the underlying catalog is corrected so the map and dependent tables remain consistent.
- If the correction changes an explanation materially, the affected text and its editorial review date are updated as well.
Requests without enough information to identify the observation may not be actionable. Suggestions for newer data are evaluated as dataset updates and are not automatically substituted for a differently defined series.
